The EXP-LED-HL-404-DFX Intrinsically Safe LED Headlamp from Larson Electronics is a compact, portable unit that is suitable for Class I, Divisions 1 & 2 and Class II, Divisions 1 & 2 hazardous locations. The robust headlamp is capable of illuminating distances up to 328` (high beam setting). Running on 3 AAA batteries, this unit features a rotational light head (up to 90 degrees) and low/high dual beam settings for various lighting requirements on the work site.
The intrinsically safe LED headlamp offers intense illumination in hazardous locations, which includes gas processing facilities and agricultural sites. The portable luminary supports the following beam settings: low or high. In low beam mode, the unit emits 100 lumens of white light, reaching 246` with a runtime of 4.5 hours. In high beam mode, the headlamp emits 200 lumens of white light, reaching 328` with a runtime of 2.5 hours. Weighing 4.5 ounces, this luminary is extremely lightweight. Operators may adjust the light head up to 90 degrees for illuminating nearby targets.
The EXP-LED-HL-404-DFX comes with several safety features for use in rugged, unpredictable hazardous locations. A locking mechanism protects the battery component, giving operators safe and easy access to the compartment. The luminary features a sturdy, impact-resistant construction and an adjustble headband for secure fittings on helmets or directly on heads. This intrinsically safe unit is ATEX/IECEx approved and IP67 waterproof with a T4 temperature code.
