The Larson Electronics EXP-LED-HL-LPDFX Intrinsically Safe LED Headlight is ideal for a wide variety of uses including Industrial Safety, Public Works & Utilities, Law Enforcement, Hardware/Tool, Automotive, Marine, Sporting Goods and Consumer applications. Two high intensity CREE LED emitters mounted within a lightweight housing provides up to 25 hours of useable light and can be attached to a hard hat with the included rubber head strap. For maximum safety and visibility in hazardous work sites, this unit is equipped with an amber, rear-facing LED lamp.
The EXP-LED-HL-LPDFX instrinsically safe LED headlight produces an intense light beam while providing up to 25 hours of illumination. Two high intensity CREE LEDs mounted within an impact resistant housing is powered by 3 AA batteries to produce a long lived light beam of up to 310 lumens in output. Included with this explosion proof headlight is a heavy-duty rubber strap for ease of operation when mounting on hard hats. An amber, rear-facing LED lamp is available for illuminative safety in foggy or smoky environments. When worn on hard hats, a special, low profile design allows operators to raise or lower their face shield without obstructing the portable fixture.
Featuring a housing constructed of glass-filled nylon polymer that has been drop test verified from 2 meters and an IP67 waterproof rating tested at 1 meter, this headlight provides users with a highly convenient and safe light source that leaves their hands free for work operations. This headlight features two high output CREE LED emitters for up to five modes of illumination. The adjustable rubber straps allow this unit to be mounted to hard hats without slipping, and will fit all head sizes.
Two rubber dome push button switches allows easy operation between modes even when wearing gloves. The right push button operates the spotlight, whereas the left switches between high/low spotlight, high/low floodlight and high/low for spot and flood combined. The full power spotlight produces 275 lumens and a beam reaching over 393 feet in distance with a 6.75-hour runtime. The half power spotlight produces 100 lumens with a 25-hour runtime. The full power floodlight produces 250 lumens with a 7-hour runtime. The half power floodlight produces 100 lumens with a 25-hour runtime. The spot and flood combined produces 310 lumens with a 6-hour runtime.

Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation.
