The Larson Electronics EXP-MTSTR-SF-3P-480V-5HP-7.5A-DCM-4X0.75S Explosion Proof Soft Starter provides reduced voltage starting solutions for industrial equipment in Class I, III and III rated environments. This 5 HP unit offers compatibility with 480V three-phase delta, 50/60 Hz. Multiple start, stop and control modes are available during use. Operators can mount the unit on surfaces, via four mounting legs at the back of the enclosure.
The EXP-MTSTR-SF-3P-480V-5HP-7.5A-DCM-4X0.75S is an explosion proof reduced voltage starter, which can be used to soft start and preserve industrial motors inside combustible sites. This 5 HP unit is compatible with 480V three-phase delta, 50/60 Hz. The 7.5-amp soft starter is equipped with a squirrel-cage three-phase asynchronous motor. Starting times should not exceed 20 attempts per hour.
This reduced voltage starter is protected by a copper-free aluminum enclosure with an aluminum lacquer paint finish. A weatherproof gasket enable the NEMA 3R/4 rated device to be used in both indoor and outdoor hazardous locations. The presence of corrosive gas or conductive heat may hinder the performance of the soft starter. The EXP-MTSTR-SF-3P-480V-5HP-7.5A-DCM-4X0.75S is designed for use at altitudes below 3,280.84 feet (1,000 meters). Above this range, the rate of power must be increased during operation.
