The Larson Electronics EXP-TSTAT-120.480-86F explosion proof thermostat is designed for temperature control in industrial facilities where flammable gases, vapors or dust are or may be present. This device is adjustable using a set point knob system, which is powered by an SPDT snap action switch. The unit features a temperature limit range of -49°F to 176°F (-45°C to 80°C) and is rated at 480V AC (maximum). The EXP-TSTAT-120.480-86F offers accurate temperature control for heating, cooling and ventilation systems in hazardous locations. Featuring an SPDT snap action switch, this unit is rated at 480V AC (maximum). Operators may use an adjustable set point knob to configure the explosion proof thermostat, at a range of 36°F and 82°F (2°C to 28°C). The device is constructed of precision die-cast and corrosion resistant components for durability. To ensure safety, the unit does not contain any exposed copper or brass and mercury. When mounting the explosion proof thermostat inside the hazardous location, the unit must be positioned five feet above the floor. This improves the accuracy of temperature readings and reduces the possibility of false calculations due to the presence of nearby hot or cold elements. Operators may mount the device to walls or compatible surfaces using four cover bolts. Applications: Petroleum refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, storage areas, agricultural sites, grain processing centers and other facilities where hazardous substances are handled or stored.
