The GAU-AP-48-IPS-LED-ESL-DU from Larson Electronics is an Exterior Sign LED Flood Light that ensures outdoor signs are always visible at night or in low-light conditions. This solid-state 48" long LED strip light produces 5,000 lumens and operates on 12-24 V AC/DC The entire assembly weighs 3.5 lb and measures 48 inches long, 2.68 inches wide, and 1.69 inches deep, allowing the weatherproof unit to be positioned close to exterior signs without taking up a lot of space. The GAU-AP-48-IPS-LED-ESL-DU is a powerful outdoor sign light that is suitable for use in harsh environments. These units are configured in a 48" long strip or "bar" profile, which facilitates horizontal or vertical configurations. This energy-efficient LED light is designed for long-term applications, where a sign or landmark must be illuminated for extended periods of time. We offer this light in a 30° spot or 100° flood beam configuration. The 30° spot version is recommended for illuminating signs at far distances or casting concentrated light at surfaces. The 100° flood model provides a wide beam spread for large signs or illumination at close distances. To suit specific exterior sign lighting requirements, we can add the following features to this light (customization may incur additional cost): light guards, light colors, color temperatures, pole mounting, solar power, switches, sensors, cords and more. An IP65 rated extruded aluminum housing with a tough powder coat finish allows the unit to operate continuously in harsh environments, including areas that experience fluctuating temperatures, constant exposure to water/moisture and rough outdoor elements. This level of protection is recommended for making safety or warning signs more reliable in rugged work sites.

The LEDs in this linear light are Cree LEDs that have been chosen for their high lumen per watt ratio and extreme long life. These Cree LEDs provide over 125 lumens per watt output and have a 70% lumen retention at 50,000 hours, giving them better efficiency and operational life than comparable LEDs. This LED light produces 5,000 lumens with a color temperature of 5000K and a color rendering index of 75 which produces colors and details much more accurately than incandescent, halogen, or fluorescent light fixtures. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Durability: The exterior sign light is constructed of extruded aluminum with a tough powder coat finish for high strength and durability. The housing is IP65 rated, providing ingress protection against dust and protection against low pressure jets of water from all directions. This design is weatherproof, suitable for indoor or outdoor applications, and ideal for areas where wet, damp, or dusty conditions are commonly encountered. Power/Wiring: This light operates on 12-24 V AC/DC electrical current. The voltage range is intrinsically safe, which reduces fire-related risks and improves safety when installed in harsh environments, outdoor locations and rugged sites. Each strip light is equipped with 6 feet of 16/2 SOOW cable that is terminated in a Deutsch DT04-2P female connector for making power connections. Mounting: Mounting for this unit is provided by two standard adjustable end brackets that allow operators to mount the light to flat surfaces and then adjust the light 170° vertically for best placement. Once installed, operators simply rotate the light fixture side to side to position the light output as needed. This outdoor light can be installed above or under signs. Applications: Exterior signs, harsh environments, industrial sites, outdoor signs, landmarks, indoor signs, flood light and more.
