Made in the USA The HAL-1X400MH-TP Quadpod Mounted Hazardous Location Metal Halide Light Tower from Larson Electronics produces 36,000 lumens of light capable of illuminating an area 25,000 square feet in size. This adjustable LED light tower is designed for portability and durable operation and ideal for use in demanding conditions. This portable HAZLOC light tower is rated Class 1 Division 2 Groups A, B, C and D as well as wet area and marine environment suitable. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS, LIGHT TOWERS, OR QUADPODS* The HAL-1X400MH-TP is a quadpod mounted hazardous location metal halide lighting system and provides 25,500 square feet of work area coverage with 36,000 lumens of light output. This portable metal halide light tower has a removable light head mounted on top of a four leg durable non-sparking aluminum quadpod equipped with wheels for easy positioning of the unit from one area of the workspace to another. The MH light head on this unit produces a wide flood pattern of light that is ideal for illuminating large workspaces and job sites. This light is designed for heavy duty use in demanding conditions including emergency services, mining, construction, marine, and industrial operations where durability and reliability is critical.
Extendable from 7` to 12`
This portable light tower is comprised of an adjustable metal halide light head mounted atop a four leg quadpod fabricated from non-sparking powder coated aluminum. This adjustable and collapsible quadpod can be extended to twelve feet, collapsed to seven feet, and includes solid wheels allow the operator to tilt the unit back and simply roll the entire assembly to a new location when fully deployed. The LED light fixture assembly can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the light and mounting bracket off of the center support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The lamp can be easily adjusted vertically and locked into position. This hazardous location light tower is equipped with 50` of 16/3 SOOW oil, chemical, abrasive, and water resistant cable terminated in an explosion proof cord cap, which is combined with adjustability offered by the light head provides ample length for tower placement and optimal coverage of the workspace. Cord cap options include 15 amp NEMA 5-15 straight blade plug for designed for 125V, 20 amp NEMA 5-20 plug design for 125V, and 20 amp 6-20 plug designed for 250V. All three cord caps are designed to lock into compatible twist lock receptacles by twisting the plug body until an audible click is heard, which indicates the plug is securely connected. Once locked into place this plug will not accidentally pull out. Other cord caps, such as pin and sleeve style, can be custom fit upon request.

The ballast within the metal halide light fixture on this portable Class 1 Division 2 light tower is multi-tap, offering 120V, 208V, and 240V 60Hz and is pre-configured at the factory to the voltage selected when ordering. 220V 50HZ models can be special ordered upon request. The light tower is equpped with 50` of 600 volt rated 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an explosion proof cord cap. Cord cap options include 5-15 15 amp explosion proof plug for use with 125V rated explosion proof outlets, 5-20 for use with 125V rated explosion proof outlets, and 6-20 for use with 250V rated explosion proof outlets. This hazardous area light fixture is IP66 rated, dust-proof, UL 1598A and Class 1, Division 2. The cast aluminum body and vibration resistant metal halide lamp give this light excellent durability and resistance to impacts. The housing is specially designed to dissipate heat which increases the efficiency and lifespan. This light produces 36,000 lumens with a color temperature of 4100K and a color rendering index of 65.

The light head on this unit is small enough to allow it to fit through most standard size manholes and entry points. The light head can also be removed from the quadpod, the tower collapsed and the entire assembly passed through a manhole and reassembled once inside. The easy to collapse design of this Class 1 Division 2 MH work light allows Larson Electronics to avoid pallet freight charges when shipping and deliver these units via UPS next day air service, which in turn improves delivery time and reduces the cost to buyers.
