This beam provides a high-intensity dose of UV-C light to people passing through the doorway. This brief exposure offers an additional layer of germ killing safety to anyone who walks through the doorway above which the IND-DBL-36-1L-R1-120V is installed and helps to effectively control the airborne transmission of microorganisms between areas. This hospital grade stainless steel door barrier germicidal fixture features a 30 watt UV bulb that produces 10.77 watts of UV output at a wavelength of 254nm. The IND-DBL-36-1L-R1-120V is designed to be mounted above a 36" wide doorway, operates on 120 V AC current, and is hard wired. The lights have an expected lifespan of 8,000+ hours and emit a flood beam pattern. The IND-DBL-36-1L-R1-120V does NOT have a motion sensor. Instead, it remains on continuously. This door barrier germicidal fixture provides 170 microwatts per square centimeter at three feet below the fixture and 30 microwatts per square centimeter at floor level when mounted above a seven foot tall door. Operation: This high output UV door barrier germicifal fixture projects ultraviolet rays into the doorway it is mounted above. Bacteria and viruses present in the air that passes through the UV rays produced by the fixture are destroyed. The IND-DBL-36-1L-R1-120V projects a beam of UV-C light straight down from above the doorway to the floor. Construction: The enclosure of the IND-DBL-36-1L-R1-120V is built from hospital grade 304 stainless steel. Mounting: The IND-DBL-36-1L-R1-120V is designed to be wall mounted. Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation.
