| This unit is Made In USA - Manufactured in Texas The IND-HVAC-DTS-UVC-R1-SS-9W-2L-24V-5C from Larson Electronics is a Low Profile Mini-Split Ductless AC Disinfection System that works to disinfect air moving through a ductless AC system via germicidal ultraviolet (UV) rays. This unit helps to control the spread of airborne cold and flu viruses, as well as other airborne transmitted disease. The anodized aluminum air duct disinfection system features two compact fluorescent UV bulbs that produce 2.4 watts of UVC output for a total of 4.8 watts at a wavelength of 253.7nm. The IND-HVAC-DTS-UVC-R1-SS-9W-2L-24V-5C is designed to be mounted in small areas such as ductless AC units and operates on 24 V AC current. *Please note: This product produces UV light. Make sure to follow all safety guidelines and protocols found in the user manual. UVC light in the proper setting kills up to 99.9% of viruses, mold, spores, and bacteria. * The IND-HVAC-DTS-UVC-R1-SS-9W-2L-24V-5C is a powerful sanitation solution for industrial sites and commercial facilities. Equipped with two UVC compact fluorescent lamps, this system offers a total of 4.8 total watts of UV output at a wavelength of 253.7nm. The lights have an expected lifespan of 8,000+ hours and emit a flood beam pattern. The compact size of the IND-HVAC-DTS-UVC-R1-SS-9W-2L-24V-5C allows it to be used continuously in mini-split ductless AC units. Each 9-watt lamp has a single-ended power source. Operation: This UV ductless AC disinfection system projects ultraviolet rays inside the AC unit it is mounted in. The air flowing through the unit that passes through the UV rays is then sanitized. Bacteria and viruses present in the air that passes through the UV rays produced by the fixture are destroyed. The air moving through the AC unit is constantly being purified as it flows through the UV rays being produced by the fixture. Wiring: The IND-HVAC-DTS-UVC-R1-SS-9W-2L-24V-5C is comprised of a ballast box and two compact fluorescent UVC bulbs. Each bulb is connected to the ballast box by a 5' 16/3 SOOW cord to allow for flexible mounting depending on the particular ductless AC unit it will be mounted in. The ballast is equipped with a 5' 16/3 SOOW cord that is terminated in flying leads and must be hardwired. Mounting: The IND-HVAC-DTS-UVC-R1-SS-9W-2L-24V-5C is designed to be mounted inside a mini-split ductless air conditioning unit. Each of the UVC bulbs is outfitted with a L-bracket for flat surface mounting inside the AC unit. The accompanying ballast box can also be surface mounted on the interior of the unit. Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation.
