| The ML-1 from Larson Electronics is a magnetically mounted flood light that is capable of producing a beam that is approximately 65 feet wide by 75 feet long. These lights are typically used as military spotlights, searchlights, utility spotlights, roof mount spotlights, hunting spotlights, work lights and linesman lights. The ML-1 enables the operator to control the rotation and elevation of the light beam. As an ideal searchlight configuration, the operator positions the beam by changing the angle of the lamp. These light will hold their position once the operator positions the beam. The operator can adjust the tension bolts to increase or lessen the "position holding" hinge depending on the amount of vibration in the environment. Interlocking aluminum and stainless steel u-brackets secure the elevation of the light beam once positioned. These lights can be used on vehicles, boats and heavy equipment. The lamp head is 6 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches deep. It weighs only a pound and is 7.5 inches tall. The housing of this unit is UV and salt water resistant. An on/off toggle switch is located on the back of the lamp housing. |

Larson Electronics offers magnetic mount plates that can be affixed to non-metallic surfaces such as fiberglass, wood and concrete (sold separately). Power: These lights have a few options for supplying the power. Detachable cord options include a 16 foot cord with a cigarette plug, 21 foot cord with spring battery clamps, 21 foot cord with 3/8 inch ring terminals, 10 foot coil cord with a cigarette plug. Â Light Output: The lamp in this work light is a 35 watt flood light that disperses a diffused beam that is approximately 65 feet wide by 75 feet long. This beam is intended for illuminating a work area and is not intended to project a directional, focused beam that will reach great distances. This light is effective as a work light because the trapezoidal lens minimizes the "bright ball" effect on your eyes when you look directly into it. The life of this lamp is rated at 675 hours. |
