This hazardous location portable power distribution unit allows operators to plug into 440 V power via a 25' #12/3 AWG TYPE SOOW cord (NO cord cap is included). The MPD-HD2-BS.15AB-SG5SR-BZ-4.H02-M1 portable wheeled power distribution unit from Larson Electronics is built to provide operators with a reliable source of 220 V power within Class I, Division 2 rated areas. This compact power distribution unit is designed for portability and convenience as well as durability. Featuring an elevated base platform for protection from standing water and weatherproof construction, the MPD-HD2-BS.15AB-SG5SR-BZ-4.H02-M1 is ideal for powering 220 V equipment and lighting in construction, entertainment, job-site, marine, and outdoor locations where 440 V power is available. A #12/3 AWG TYPE SOOW line-in cord brings 440 V single-phase power to the 15-amp, 2-pole miniature C1D2 circuit breaker and passes the current to the 5 KVA explosion proof transformer. The Class I, Division 2 5 KVA transformer converts 440 V single-phase power to 220 V single phase and passes the current to the secondary panel. Liquid-tite flexible cord connects the transformer to the secondary panel. The secondary side of the explosion proof transformer feeds a 22.7-amp rated 220 V single-phase main lug Class I, Division 2 panel. This secondary panel contains two 16-amp breakers protecting four 16-amp, 220 V, CZ-EX explosion proof outlets. The outlets are mounted to an aluminum back plate for easy connection for equipment in the field. The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a standard upright steel dolly cart style frame resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. For even more stability, the MPD-HD2-BS.15AB-SG5SR-BZ-4.H02-M1 features a rear-mounted kick stand that can easily be deployed when the unit is in the desired position. This kick stand increases the stability of this unit so that the risk of it being knocked over or falling down are almost completely eliminated. Two run-flat tires and a cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility. This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Primary voltage is brought into the MPD-HD2-BS.15AB-SG5SR-BZ-4.H02-M1 portable hazardous location portable power distribution system via 25' of 12/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cable that is terminated in a blunt cut end.
