The Larson Electronics WAL-DL-60LED-M-GCR50 LED drop light with cord reel is ideal in practically any environment including but not limited to: general maintenance, construction, aircraft interior, emergency shelter, ship yards, etc. These lights are also suitable for civilian and military shelter units. The LED assembly in this task light offer much longer lamp life, cooler operation, higher durability, and better light quality than incandescent drop lights. The 50` retractable cord reel provides cable management to reduce risk of tripping over excess cable lying in the workplace. Constructed to be completely weather and impact resistant, this LED drop light sacrifices no light output or quality to obtain these features. The Larson Electronics WAL-DL-60LED-M-GCR50 is shock resistant, making it durable enough to withstand drops, falls, and rough handling. Equipped with 50,000 hour LED lamps, this LED drop light is designed to operate at cooler operating temperatures than conventional incandescent and fluorescent lights to reduce the chance of fire and burns. This LED trouble light features 60 LEDs to produce a 120 lumen flood beam, and an embedded on/off rocker switch located in the handle.

Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional lighting. This drop light is equipped with a magnetic hook for temporary mounting. This hook can be attached to the magnet located at the tip of the light, or the magnet located at the balance point on the side of the light. This unique magnetic hook mount lets the operator handle this task light with ease and comfort; the engineered polymer handle also adds durability to the drop light. The non-metallic construction eliminates the risk of energized external parts should the unit come into contact with exposed electrical components. The WAL-DL-60LED-M-GCR50 is equipped with 6 foot of cable, making this drop light versatile and provides the operator with plenty of length for moving the light around the workspace. The cord reel is designed for a lift/drag of up to 50` of 18/2 SVT cable. Reel with cable installed/tested comes with 50` active travel plus an additional 2` for safety wrap and hook up. The slip ring enclosure is built to NEMA standard and has two conductors. This reel is UL Listed (UL/cUL), and is constructed of durable steel, has a yellow powder coat finish to match the lamp, and includes a ball stop and a ratchet with a lockout feature.
