This IP65-rated LED light tower produces 19,200 lumens while running on low voltage power. The unit is suitable for a wide range of heavy-duty, outdoor applications. The WAL-THT-48.160W-LED-LV-2X16-TRP work area light tower provides operators with a versatile lighting solution for operations where mobile illumination of large, spacious areas is required. An IP65 rated, 160-watt LED floodlight produces 19,200 lumens of bright white light in a 160° flood beam configuration. The hitch mounted light tower is telescoping, adjustable from 6’ to 10’ in height and incorporates a trailer hitch mounting system with stabilization legs that allows operators to easily secure the fixture to receiver hitch equipped vehicles at any location. This unit features two power sources that draw 7 amps per line at 12V DC. The LED light tower comes in the following low voltage options: 12V, 24V, 36V or 48V. For plug options, see the wiring and plug section below (refer to mounting section for details surrounding hitch size). This receiver hitch mount LED light tower is comprised of an adjustable LED light head mounted atop a telescoping tower fabricated from non-sparking powder coated aluminum. This adjustable and collapsible tower can be extended to ten feet, collapsed to six feet, and includes two stabilization legs. The LED light fixture assembly can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the light and mounting bracket off of the center support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The lamp can be easily adjusted vertically and locked into position. This mounting system provides extremely secure placement of the tower in areas where high winds are commonly encountered. The weight of the vehicle in combination with the two stabilization legs removes the possibility of the unit swaying excessively or tipping over once deployed. The LED light head can be pivoted 150° vertically after deployment and provides a wide flood beam to illuminate the work environment. | ||||||||||||

The integrated heat sink allows for efficient heat dissipation, preventing the LEDs from overheating and keeping the overall temperature of the fixture relatively low. Solid state LED technology eliminates the need for a ballast box and lamps, a cumbersome feature of fluorescent fixtures that add weight and require frequent repairs.
We have eliminated the ballast box normally associated with fluorescent fixtures which reduces overall weight and creates a slimmer unit profile. There is no ballast in this unit and the integrated LED assembly has a 60,000+ hour service life, both of which result in extreme efficiency and greatly reduced maintenance costs. The solid state design of LED technology give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibration, extremes in temperature, and a lamp life over twice that of standard fluorescent bulbs.
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional lighting.

Wiring and Plug: This vehicle mounted LED flood lighting system comes with a detachable 16 foot coil cord with trailer hitch plug. Plug options include: 4-pin flat connector, 4-pin round connector, 6-pin round connector, 7-pin round connector, and 7-pin flat connector. (Note: The exterior housing on both 7-pin flat and 7-pin round connectors are physically round, the pins are either flat or round.) The cord is detached via a weatherproof, 2 pin Deutsch connector which easily and securely attaches and detaches the coil cord from the spotlight.
