The weatherproof portable spiderbox allows operators to plug into 480V generators and welding outlets via a 40` #10/3 SOOW cord with a 60-amp 6034 plug. The WALSB-125.250.30A-6X120.20A-WP portable spider box from Larson Electronics is built to provide operators with a reliable source of single phase 240V and 120V power. This compact spider box is designed for portability and convenience, as well as durability. Featuring an elevated base platform for protection from standing water and weatherproof construction, the WALSB-125.250.30A-6X120.20A-WP is ideal for powering single phase 240V and 120V equipment and lighting in construction, entertainment, job-site, marine, and outdoor locations where 480V generators are providing power. Operators bring 480V power, using a 40` #10/3 SOOW cord with a 60-amp 600V-rated 6034 plug, into the unit and passes power to the transformer. The 5 KVA transformer converts 480V single phase to 120/240V and passes the current to two 30-amp and eight 20-amp mini circuit breakers. The spider box contains one 30-amp breaker protecting one 30-amp L14-30R 125/250V receptacle, one 30-amp breaker protecting one 30-amp L5-30R 125V receptacle and eight 20-amp breakers protecting eight 520R 125V GFCI receptacles. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers. Each receptacle features a hinged watertight cover protecting the face from rain, water, and moisture when not in use. The WALSB-125.250.30A-6X120.20A-WP spider box features short circuit and overload protection. In the instance of circuit overload, the unit automatically shuts down to protect the spider box from damage, and restarts after 30 seconds. The housing on the WALSB-125.250.30A-6X120.20A-WP is constructed from powder coated steel with a NEMA 3R enclosure rating. The top of the unit features a convenient carrying handle that doubles for cable management when not in use. The angled base and low center of gravity ensure this low voltage transform does not tip over when in the field. The entire unit is powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics. Larson Electronics is a manufacturer and as such can build transformers to your specifications.
