Made in the USA The Larson Electronics EHL-LED-120X12V-XGFI-20M Explosion Proof LED Drop Light / Trouble Light is UL Listed Class I Divisions 1 & 2 Groups C and D - and is ideal for general work activities in hazardous locations requiring explosion proof protection. The 120V inline GFCI circuit interrupter provides protection and safety to the operator and features a manual reset so that equipment will not power back on by itself in the case of a power surge or interruption. *Please note that while the lights themselves are explosion proof, the included cord cap is not and must be connected in a non-hazardous area.* This 7 watt explosion proof LED work light from Larson Electronics produces 735 lumens of bright white light and comes complete with 23 total meters of explosion proof cord. The EHL-LED-120X12V-XGFI-20M LED drop light has no ballast and the housing is constructed of non sparking aluminum, which results in a very lightweight unit. This hazardous location hand lamp is Class I Divisions 1 and 2 and Class II Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous location environment approved. This explosion proof LED drop light is designed with a 12 volt LED bulb to operate with 12V DC for low voltage operation. The EHL-LED-120X12V-XGFI-20M also features an inline 120V GFCI circuity interrupter. The GFCI is located between the cord cap and the transformer.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.

This 7 watt LED drop light is suitable for use in areas where petrochemical vapors and various dusts are present and projects 735 lumens of light, which is twice the lumens per watt output of a 100 watt incandescent bulb. This unit is rated Class I Division 1 and comes with 23 total meters of SOOW 16/3 AWG cord ending in a choice of 120V cord cap. This hand lamp has a high efficiency LED bulb that requires no ballast, so the operator doesn`t need to drag the ballast housing around. This can be particularly annoying when the ballast becomes entangled in the cord. This explosion proof LED hand light operates on 12 Volts DC for low voltage operations. An included inline transformer allows this unit to plug into a standard outlet and operate on 120V AC then steps the current down to 12V DC for operating the lamp.

Wiring/Plug: This explosion proof LED drop light fixture is equipped with 20 meters of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord between the lamp and inline transformer, with 1.5 meters from the GFCI to the transformer and another 1.5 meters from the GFCI to the plug for a total of 23 meters. This LED light is fitted with a 120V industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. Plug options include standard 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 110V wall outlets with ground, NEMA L5-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 125V twist lock outlets, 5-20 and L5-20 cord caps. Alternatively, we can provide flying leads with no plug for hard wire applications or for operators who prefer to wire in user provided cord caps. Please choose pigtail option below for flying leads with no plug. The light produced by this unit has a 6000K color temperature, which is much sharper and whiter than the light produced by incandescent lamps. The light produced by this lamp is ideal for close work and inspection activities where good contrast and true color representation is needed. The LED lamp in this unit runs much cooler than incandescent or flourescent lamps, resulting in a lamp housing that remains cool to the touch and eliminates the accidental burns often encountered with incandescent drop lights.
