| Made in the USA The Larson Electronics EPEXC-GFI-20O-GR-12.3-100 Industrial Cord Reel with Explosion Proof Outlet gives operators the ability to easily extend the working reach of their tools and lighting equipment. This blue reel is equipped with 100' of 12/3 SOOW cord and one explosion proof outlet secured on a back plate. The Class I, Division 1 and Class II, Division 1 rated receptacle on the unit has ground fault protection for safety during operation. ***PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO THIS HAZARDOUS LOCATION LIGHT FIXTURE*** The EPEXC-GFI-20O-GR-12.3-100 features a general area cord reel with an explosion proof GFCI outlet. Available in 125V or 250V, these units are rated at 20 amps of continuous service. The GFCI protected explosion proof receptacle takes on a twist-lock design. In order for a secure and working connection to take place, the operator must insert the plug and twist until it locks into place. This ensures a safe seal is made before any sparks from electrical contact can take place. Each receptacle's contacts are deeply recessed to avoid accidental contact and will accept standard non explosion proof plugs that are NEMA 5-20R, or 6-20R compatible although explosion proof plugs must be used to preserve explosion proof approval in hazardous environments. Ordinary location plugs will NOT activate this cord's explosion proof receptacles. The ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protects against possible injury from unwanted ground faults. This GFCI monitors the amount of current flowing through the unit, and provides immediate identification of faults by tripping the circuit when an imbalance is detected. Both the GFCI and outlet are factory sealed, enclosing any potentially arcing components within the copper free aluminum bodies. Cord Reel: The cord reel is designed for a lift/drag of up to 100 feet of 12/3 SOOW cord. This industrial reel comes with 100 feet of active travel plus an additional 2 feet for safety wrap and hook up. This reel is constructed of durable steel, has a glossy blue powder coat finish and includes a ball stop and a ratchet with a lockout feature. Inter-Compatibility: These units use T style plugs and will work with non-explosion proof standard receptacles and plugs (NEMA 5-15R, 5-20R, or 6-20R) but will not work with standard 120V wall outlets. The included plugs and receptacles are cross-interchangeable with Crouse Hind part# ENP5201 plugs and receptacles and Hubble-Killiark part# UGP-20231 ACCEPTOR® plugs and receptacles. Any equipment requiring these C-H or H-B plugs should work with these cords. Due to possible manufacturer changes we cannot guarantee interchangeability although we have made every effort to ensure cross compatibility correctness. Applications: This cord reel system is ideal for use with drop lights and tools in locations where connection to fixed receptacles is unavailable or impractical, and safely extends the operational range without creating the hazards associated with excessive cord lengths strewn about the workplace. |
