Made in the USA The EPL-18C-150LED-RT-125C from Larson Electronics is an Explosion Proof Portable Tank Light which offers a portable lighting solution that utilizes Cree LED light technology to produce 21,000 lumens of light while drawing only 150 watts.  This tank cleaning light is ideal for providing light in hazardous areas where flammable gases and vapors are present. This wheelbarrow cart style light allows entry through standard 18" man ways on storage tanks and petrochemical containers. The EPL-18C-150LED-RT-125C is rated for use in Class I & 2, Divisions 1 & 2 hazardous areas. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO THIS LIGHT CART* The EPL-18C-150LED-RT-125C is a cart mounted explosion proof LED light that provides 10,000 square feet of work area coverage with 21,000 lumen of light output. This portable LED cart light has a removable 150 watt light head measuring 16" by 14". The slim wheelbarrow cart mount and low profile LED light head allows operators to pass the tank cleaning light through standard 18" manholes. This unit is considered a universal tank cleaning light due to its ability to be passed through any conventional manhole of any length, such as those found in petrochemical containers and ship storage tanks. This portable and explosion proof LED light cart is comprised of a removable 16" by 14" LED light head mounted atop a solid rubber wheeled cart fabricated from non sparking aluminum. Transferring the unit through manholes consists of simply removing the light head from the cart, passing the light head and cart through the manhole separately, and then reassembling the unit once inside. Included with this tank cleaning light cart is 125` SOOW cable terminated in a choice of explosion proof plug.
The explosion proof LED light head of this tank light features multiple LED drivers that help increase the operational life of the fixture. With traditional LED lights, in the event an LED array or driver fails, the entire fixture no longer illuminates. This tank light with LED lamps contains twelve individual LED boards configured in a series of banks. Each bank contains two LED boards with an individual driver. In the event of a driver failure, only one bank of LEDs will be effected while the other banks will continue to operate. In the event that of an LED failure, the mating LED will continue to operate. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. This LED tank light is universal voltage and is configured to operate on a range from 120 to 277 volts AC, 50/60 Hz. Further adding to the versatility and convenience of this LED light cart are the 25 peel off Mylar overspray lamp protectors that ship with the unit. These protectors provide lamp protection from dirt or debris and can be removed, cleaned and replaced, lessening the need for tedious lamp cleaning or replacements. This lamp is T5 temperature rated and the LED light head retains 80% of its lumen output after 60,000 hours of use, far longer than incandescent or fluorescent lamps. The light head can be removed and used separately from the cart for added convenience.

Wiring & Plug: This explosion proof cart light is equipped with 125 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an explosion proof cord cap for easy connection to explosion proof outlets. Plug options include a 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for use with 120V explosion proof outlets, a 5-20 20 amp straight blade plug for use with 120V explosion proof outlets, or a 6-20 20 amp straight blade plug for use with 220-240V explosion proof outlets. **PLEASE NOTE** voltage ratings on plugs and outlets are MAXIMUM voltage. For low voltage applications, proper voltage must be applied to the outlet or damage to the light fixture will occur. This explosion proof LED tank light is rated for Class I, Division 1, Groups C & D, Class I, Division 2 Groups C & D, Class II, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups E, F, & G, Paint Spray Booths, and Wet Locations. The portability combined with the 360° of rotation and 90° of tilt offered by the LED light head provides an effective alternative to often cumbersome explosion proof string lights.
