The quadpod mount and metal halide lamp used with this unit provide operators with excellent power and efficiency coupled with high versatility and ease of use.

A single 70 watt, explosion proof, metal halide lamp mounted on our non-sparking adjustable and wheeled quadpod gives operators an easily deployable source of powerful light that can be quickly setup and adjusted to effectively illuminate hazardous work areas. This unit contains a 70 watt, dual ended, metal halide lamp and is capable of illuminating 13,000 square feet of work space with 32,000 lumens of light. The 70 watt metal halide lamp on this unit produces illumination equivalent to typical 400 watt halogen lamps while drawing only 70 watts at .58 amps. The metal halide lamp runs cooler than 400 watt halogen lamps, resulting in an easier to handle unit and less heat in the workspace.
This unit`s durability, easy deployment, high power and the good color rendering of its metal halide lamp make it ideal for close work and hazardous areas where safety, detail and accuracy are critical.
The non sparking adjustable and collapsible quadpod can be extended to eight feet and collapsed to four and a half feet while wheels on the base of the tripod enable the operator to tilt the unit back and reposition it to a new location. The explosion proof light fixture can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the light and mounting bracket off of the quadpod center support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The quadpod affords operators the ability to quickly and securely elevate the lamp, increasing the effective coverage of the work area. The lamp can be easily adjusted up, down or from side to side and locked into position. The lamp housing is waterproof and constructed of thick copper free aluminum alloy, making this unit ideal for use in wet and marine environments. The metal halide lamp provides 13,000 square feet of coverage with good color rendering and object contrast.
This units lamp assembly includes a 70 watt metal halide bulb, internal ballast and aluminum finish reflector in a copper-free cast aluminum housing with a thermoset powder coat finish. The shell, covers and sealed fittings are also made of copper-free aluminum. The lens is constructed of 3/4" thermal shock and impact resistant tempered glass and the housing contains threaded joints lubricated with non-drying lubricant. The metal halide lamp has no filament and is thus highly resistant to damage from shocks or impacts, greatly reducing the chances of damage should the tower be knocked over, unlike incandescent lamps which may break or shatter. The lamp is rated at 2500+ hours of life providing longer service life than typical halogen lamps. This quadpod mounted light system operates with 220VAC 50/60Hz and is supplied with 100 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord ending in an explosion proof straight blade plug. Other plugs available upon request.
