Made in the USA The Larson Electronics EPL-TP-2X70-100 Quadpod Mounted Explosion Proof Metal Halide Light is UL Listed Class 1 & 2, Division 1 & 2 and is rated for use in wet and marine environments. The quadpod mount and metal halide lamps used with this unit provide operators with excellent power and efficiency coupled with high versatility and ease of use. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS, LIGHT TOWERS, OR QUADPODS* Two 70 watt, explosion proof, metal halide lamps mounted on our non-sparking adjustable and wheeled quadpod gives operators an easily deployable source of powerful light that can be quickly setup and adjusted to effectively illuminate hazardous work areas. This unit contains two 70 watt, dual ended, metal halide lamps and is capable of illuminating 26,000 square feet of work space with 65,000 lumens of light. The two 70 watt metal halide lamps on this unit produce illumination equivalent to two typical 400 watt halogen lamps while drawing only 140 watts at 1.1 amps. The metal halide lamps run cooler than 400 watt halogen lamps, resulting in an easier to handle unit and less heat in the workspace. This unit`s durability, easy deployment, high power and the good color rendering of its metal halide lamps make it ideal for close work and hazardous areas where safety, detail and accuracy are critical.
The non sparking adjustable and collapsible quadpod can be extended to eight feet and collapsed to four and a half feet while wheels at the base of the quadpod allow the operator to tilt the unit back and reposition it to a new location. The explosion proof light fixtures can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the light and mounting bracket off of the quadpod center support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The quadpod affords operators the ability to quickly and securely elevate the lamps, increasing their effective coverage of the work area. The lamps can be easily adjusted up, down or from side to side and locked into position. The lamp housings are waterproof and constructed of thick copper free aluminum alloy, making this unit ideal for use in wet and marine environments. The metal halide lamps provide 26,000 square feet of coverage with good color rendering and object contrast. This units` lamp assemblies each include a 70 watt metal halide bulb, internal ballast and aluminum finish reflector in a copper-free cast aluminum housing with a thermoset powder coat finish. The shell, covers and sealed fittings are also made of copper-free aluminum. The lens is constructed of 3/4" thermal shock and impact resistant tempered glass and the housing contains threaded joints lubricated with non-drying lubricant. The metal halide lamps have no filament and are thus highly resistant to damage from shocks or impacts, greatly reducing the chances of damage should the tower be knocked over, unlike incandescent lamps which may break or shatter. The lamps are rated at 2500+ hours of life providing longer service life than typical halogen lamps. This quadpod mounted light system operates with 120 VAC and is supplied with 100 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord ending in an explosion proof straight blade plug. Suggested Applications: include but are not limited to... wastewater treatment plants, refinery tanks, oil and gasoline loading docks, coal pulverizing facilities, munitions storage areas, tunnel projects, utility gas plants, power plant areas, hazardous areas and mining conveyor belts.
