| The Larson Electronics EPO-15A Explosion Proof Outlet provides durable and secure power connections in locations where equipment is susceptible to flammable, wet and corrosive elements. This 15-amp rated unit is offered in 125V or 250V, as well as feed through or dead end configurations. Constructed of copper-free aluminum, the explosion proof receptacle features a spring loaded door and compatibility with surface mounting requirements, via four 1/4" holes. The EPO-15A is ideal for operators seeking a high quality, wet area rated explosion proof receptacle for use in industrial and manufacturing applications. This 15-amp unit is offered in 125V or 250V, with a 2-pole, 3-wire configuration. The outlet is factory sealed and any arcing is safely contained within the interior of the receptacle. The receptacle`s contacts are deep recessed to avoid accidental contact and will not be energized by non-explosion proof plugs to preserve explosion proof protection in hazardous environments. Ordinary location plugs will NOT activate this explosion proof receptacle. Durability: The EPO-15A power receptacle is constructed of copper free aluminum and finished with electrostatically applied baked powder epoxy/polyester. A spring loaded receptacle door provides an automatic raintight seal when the plug is removed. This unit can be used in wet, damp or corrosive locations. Additional seals are not required for this explosion proof receptacle, except for installations in Group B flammable work sites. This outlet is a mate for the Larson Electronics and explosion proof plugs and is compatible with all the Larson Electronics explosion proof lights we make with an explosion proof plug. Inter-Compatibility: These units are compatible with Crouse Hind„¢ plugs under catalogue number ""ENP5151" and Hubble-Killark Acceptor® plugs under catalogue number "UGP-20231,UGP-20232 ". Due to possible manufacturer changes we cannot guarantee interchangability although we have made every effort to ensure cross compatibility correctness. Options: This unit is available in feed through or dead end options. The feed through option includes a 1/2" hub on either end of the receptacle and allows the source to power the receptacle while wired through the unit. The dead end option terminates the current at the receptacle.
