| The Larson Electronics EPO-ICB-2W3P-30A-GFCI Explosion Proof Receptacle Assembly is approved for Class I, Divisions 1 & 2, Class I, Zones 1 & 2; Class II, Divisions 1 & 2 and Class III locations and provides a safe and secure power connection for portable or stationary electrical devices and equipment in hazardous locations. This 2W3P unit features a 30-amp receptacle current rating and is constructed of copper-free aluminum. The explosion proof assembly is protected by an internal circuit breaker and GFCI. The EPO-ICB-2W3P-30A-GFCI is ideal for operators seeking a high quality explosion proof power outlet receptacle rated for use in hazardous areas, flammable work sites and confined spaces. This 2-wire, 3-pole unit contains an internal circuit breaker and GFCI, which provides short circuit and thermal overload protection, as well as manual protection during connection and disconnection of electrical cables. This explosion proof receptacle assembly features a breaker current rating of 60 amps and a receptacle current rating of 30 amps. The EPO-ICB-2W3P-30A-GFCI is constructed of corrosion resistant, copper-free aluminum and finished with an electrostatically applied polyester/epoxy coating. The unit incorporates non-bending wiring connections when opening and closing the cover. Operators can access two 1/2" NPT hubs located at the top and bottom, as well as one 1.5" NPT hub at the bottom of the enclosure. This NEMA-rated explosion proof receptacle assembly is suitable for Class I, Divisions 1 & 2; Class I, Zones 1 & 2; Class II, Divisions 1 & 2 and Class III flammable work sites. Internal Circuit Protection: This unit contains an external breaker handle to allow safe, 30-amp 600V AC (max) connections and disconnect operations. This explosion proof receptacle assembly also features an internal circuit breaker, which provides protection against short circuits and robust thermal time delay overload protection. The plug and receptacle contacts cannot be made or broken under load. When the plug is inserted, the plug and receptable contacts engage before the switch closes. When the plug is withdrawn, the switch opens before the plug and receptable contacts disengage. This provides the maximum safety of a dead front receptable. Arcing is isolated in a flame and dust-tight chamber. No special interlock device or manual switch, operators simply pull the plug straight out.
