The Larson Electronics FRL-BX-17-36W-UVC-2G11 UV Disinfection Lamp provides no-contact, light-based sanitation. This 36-watt unit takes on a twin-tube T16 bulb shape design and has a ceramic base.

The FRL-BX-17-36W-UVC-2G11 is a fluorescent-based UV lamp for UV sanitation or disinfection in industrial facilities. This twin tube T16 bulb offers 253.7 nm UVC output. The unit features a 4-pin on a single end 2G11 ceramic base. Compatible with 120V AC, this UV lamp contains a 16,000-hour useful lifespan.
UV radiation from the unit can damage the skin and eyes without proper protection. Operators should avoid exposure to the eyes and skin when the unit is unshielded. In the event of lamp breakage, it is recommended to ventilate the room for 30 minutes and clean the area with gloves (not a vacuum cleaner). Contents should be stored in a sealed plastic bag and brought to a waste/recycling facility.
Note on Environment:
Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation. Please see user manual for additional safety information.
