The GL-3026-F Golight Stryker from Larson Electronics is a 65 Watt motorized floodlight that operates with a wired dash mount remote control. This particular model is available in chrome and is permanently mounted. It produces a wide flood beam pattern with an effective working beam of 50 feet long by 75 feet wide.
The GL-3026-F Golight Stryker is designed for use in all weather conditions and produces 1,300 lumen of intense light output. These units feature remote control operation that allows users to rotate the light 370 degrees with a hard stop and to adjust vertical tilt through 135 degrees. Remote operation is provided by a hard wired dash mounted remote control. The remote is 4 inches long by 2.5 inches wide by 1/2 inch thick.
Remote Operation:
The wired dash mount remote control has a 20 foot wire harness that connects the light and remote together. It has a joystick that controls the position of the light. The joystick controls the motorized 135 degree tilt of the spotlight and the motorized rotation of the light a full 370 degrees. The light continues to move while the joystick is pressed. Once the joystick is released, the spotlight remains locked in that position until the joystick is moved again. A fast and slow button (turtle/hare) controls the speed of the motor during pan and tilt functions. It takes 12 seconds for a full 370 degree rotation and 8 seconds for a full tilt on fast mode. Slow mode is used to pinpoint accuracy at a distance and is approximately 35 seconds for full rotation and 20 seconds for one full range of tilt.
Durability:
The GL-3026-F Golight Stryker is designed for hunting and demanding outdoor use with a weather resistant housing constructed of high quality ASA Luran thermoplastic that is heat resistant, impact resistant, UV resistant and able to withstand rugged use and abusive conditions. This particular Golight is chrome in color, making it ideal for docks and buildings where an attractive appearance is desired. Remote movement of this spotlight is provided by an automotive grade internal motor, gear, and transmission assembly that is constructed of lexan, brass, and stainless steel to provide rust and corrosion resistance as well as long life and reliable operation.
Mounting:
The light is permanently mounted. A detachable, interlocking stainless steel mounting plate simplifies mounting. Three mounting holes secure the plate to the surface. Interlocking brackets and a machine screw at the back of the unit secures the plate to the Golight. The remote requires that a 2 inch hole be drilled in the mounting surface to accommodate the rear portion of the controller and wiring harness. The outer rubber cover of the remote can be removed so that the rear mounting plate can be attached to a mounting surface via 4 screws. The rear "shaft" of the mount, in combination with the base plate secures the remote.
Power:
This light operates with 12 volts DC and draws 5.5 amps, making it ideal for consumer vehicles, boats, ATVs, and similar sources of 12 volt direct current. On this particular model, the light ends in a 1 foot pigtail with stripped and tinned leads. The operator is responsible for providing the wiring from the battery and/or fuse box to the light. 16 AWG is recommended. A 20 foot harness connects the dash mount remote to the light.
Light Output:
The lamp in this Golight is a 65 watt Halogen Cr5 Pentabeam II bulb which produces 1,300 lumen. This lamp has a 6000K color temperature, giving it very good color rendering and contrasting properties and the ability to clearly and sharply illuminate objects at long distances. It produces a wide flood beam with an effective working beam 50 feet long by 75 feet wide.
This high power Golight is ideal for hunting, security, boating, law enforcement, emergency services, utilities, and anywhere high power and remote control functionality are desired.
NOTE:
This Golight Stryker Model has no wireless receiver. It is designed for boats with certain UHF Radios, Military Vehicles with IED Jammers and other applications where radio interference could be problematic. It works strictly off the hard wired controller.
