' Product Overview '
The HAL-LED-SOL12-EXWR Larson Electronics Solar Powered Hazardous Location LED Light is an ideal lighting solution for remote areas and standalone applications where connection to external power is either impractical or unavailable. This unit is operated via an explosion proof wireless remote control with a range of 200` (from the remote to the fixture).  The HAL-LED-SOL12-EXWR is powered by two 8aH sealed lead acid batteries that are recharged by a 30 watt solar panel. Light output comes from a 10 watt LED lamp that produces 1050 lumens. This solar panel can be equipped a C1D1 wireless remote control for turning the strobe light on and off. The remote switch will activate and shut off the strobe light when activated.  The light runs for 12 hours when the battery is fully charged. Charging time for the sealed lead acid batteries is 5 hours when exposed to direct sunlight. Indirect sunlight will extend the charge time. As with all solar powered equipment, charging time is affected by the amount of available ambient light. When ambient light levels drop below a certain level, such as on cloudy days, the unit will not recharge as quickly. The battery pack is contained within the solar panel, not the light. The illumination produced by the explosion proof LED light will cover an area approximately 55’ long x 55’ wide when mounted 12 feet from the ground. Mounting options include ceiling, wall and pendant for the lamp fixture and flat surface or round/square pole mounting such as on utility poles or structure supports for the solar panel. Wireless Remote: The LED light comes with an explosion proof wireless remote with a range of 200`. The remote can be used within hazardous environments, but the panel and LED light fixture must be installed outside of any hazardous environment. The wireless remote is of a single button design. One push of the button turns on the green light, the second push turns it to red and a third push turns both lights off.

This hazardous area light (Lamp Fixture only) is ETL approved Class 1 Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D. These lights are also compliant with NEMA 4X standards and marine-rated for use in salt water environments. The high power LED cluster is protected by an internal cooling fin array that reduces heat build for longer LED life and higher light output consistency. This hazardous location LED light contains an LED bulb that can serve to illuminate small work areas or draw attention to towers and other structures from a distance. This C1D2 LED light can be configured for steady burn or strobing applications. The housing on this LED light is constructed to NEMA 4X standards and is marine rated for salt water environments. The lamp housing is waterproof, constructed of corrosion and chemical resistant GE Lexan polycarbonate with Pyrex globe, USCG accepted, and NEMA 4X compliant and suitable for hose-down areas. The unit is shown with a wall mount configuration, but can be configured with a pendant or ceiling mount as well.The fixture ships with 30 feet of SOOW cable and custom lengths are available upon request. Please contact us for special requirements. NOTE:  Larson Electronics has further upgraded the options available with this light. We expect the light to be mounted separately from the panel. This means the solar panel can be mounted in direct sunlight (not in the hazardous area) while the light is mounted in a hazardous area workspace. Standard installation for explosion proof lighting, including threaded rigid pipe to the LED light fixture and appropriate seal-offs, etc. are required.
