| The HAL-TL-1X10W-C-PA-SD-M1 Hazardous Location Alert System from Larson Electronics is approved for use in Class I, Division 2 rated environments where explosive and flammable gases, vapors and dust stand the potential to exist. This cutting-edge system is equipped with a smoke detector, audible alarm (horn) and red LED strobe light for real-time visual notification. Operators may access a set of 24V relays on the system for powering down (connected) customer-provided equipment. The HAL-TL-1X10W-C-PA-SD-M1 is a complete and reliable alarm system for operations in hazardous locations. This Class I, Division 2 system includes a smoke detector, red LED strobe lamp and an audible horn. Equipped with a set of 24V relays which can be used to deactivate external, customer-provided equipment, the unit is offered in 120V AC, 240V AC or 24V DC configuration for standard or low voltage operation. Smoke Alarm: The smoke detector features an LED indicator that flashes once every four seconds on standby mode. When the alarm is activated, the LED light is steady on. The unit will automatically deactivate the alarm after 10 seconds, when smoke falls below the threshold for detection. This smoke alarm is constructed of polycarbonate/ABS, with a copper-free aluminum junction box. The hazardous location device contains three sets of relays (total of 8 relay outputs): Smoke Alarm, Trouble and Auxiliary. The 5-amp smoke alarm relay is Form C with normally open and normally closed contacts, as well as normally de-energized operation. The 5-amp trouble relay is Form A with normally open contacts and normally energized operation. The 5-amp auxiliary relay is Form C with normally open and normally closed contacts, as well as normally de-energized operation. Strobe Light/Audible Alarm: For visual notifications, the hazardous location LED strobe lamp offers exceptional 1050-lumen output. The 10-watt lamp emits a red light and is protected by a durable heat-treated glass globe and globe guard. The strobing LED lamp contains colored LEDs instead of a colored globe, providing more light output. The light housing is constructed of a non-metallic polymer that is chemical resistant and flame retardant. This alert system for hazardous locations is equipped with a fiberglass horn. Attached to the far end of the fixture, the audible horn provides operators with up to 5 different tones that can reach a peak output of 110dBA, powerful enough to be heard over industrial operations. There is no dimming or volume control for the lights or horns. The audible alarm setup sounds a unique tone per the user setting. Multiple units can be configured for different lamp colors and different tones, providing operators in hazardous locations with an effective system that can withstand demanding conditions and be heard over the operation of industrial machinery and equipment. Wiring: A NEMA 4X rated explosion proof junction box protects the internal wiring and can be tapped in order to connect this system to power sources. Wiring is completed through a 3/4" NPT conduit access hub. Power is provided by individual conductors to allow independent operation of system components. Operators can tap the junction box in order to connect to a power source. Mounting: Mounting is provided by a heavy gauge aluminum base with pre-drilled holes designed to be bolted to walls and flat surfaces for permanent and secure attachment. Applications: Combustible sites, hazardous locations, chemical manufacturing, petroleum refineries, battery rooms, industrial operations and more. |
