The HAL-WPLED-70W-DNS from Larson Electronics is a Hazardous Location LED Wall Pack Flood Light with Day/Night Sensor is designed for maximum efficiency with a 70 watt integrated LED assembly for high output and 50,000 hour lamp life. This unit has a baked on bronze finish for a rugged yet attractive design and is Class 1 Division 2 rated. The built-in day/night photocell sensor allows this fixture to operate automatically depending on the ambient light levels detected near the fixture.
Designed as a traditional style wall pack fixture, this hazardous location 70 watt LED light is designed to replace more fragile and energy consuming 400 watt metal halide fixtures, without the required maintenance or electrical requirements associated with metal halides. This 70 watt LED wall pack assembly consists of an integrated LED assembly paired with prismatic glass to produce a wide light distribution suitable for replacing 400 watt metal halide flood lights, and comes in 5000K, 4000K, or 3000K color temperature.
The HAL-WPLED-70W-DNS features a self hinged door secured by captive fasteners that provides easy access to the lamp and wiring components for servicing and maintenance. This explosion proof wall pack light is equipped with two 1/2" conduit entries and a 1/2" rear knockout which allows entry to the rear of the fixture for through wall wiring.
The HAL-WPLED-70W-DNS consists of an integrated LED assembly housed within a waterproof die cast aluminum housing that is coated for added durability and resistance to corrosion. The 2-part hinged housing allows for easy wall mount installation and future servicing, and the copper free aluminum design helps heat dissipation and increased LED longevity. The LED lamp assembly is protected by a prismatic glass lens. This prismatic glass lens is designed for superior light distribution and will never fade or yellow due to UV exposure. The traditional housing design of this LED wall pack helps maintain building aesthetics when replacing existing wall packs.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
