The HALD-48-2X150LED-V2-C-OXM from Larson Electronics is a hazardous area LED signal light that provides operators with a clean room rated and hosedown approved LED light to signal certain conditions of the work area and is approved for Class I Division 2 and Class II Divisions 1 & 2 environments. The HALD-48-2X150LED-V2-C-OXM is equipped with a green "OK" signal on the left side and a blue "low oxygen" signal on the right side. The HALD-48-2X150LED-V2-C-OXM is contained within a low profile housing that is completely flat with no nooks or crannies to worry about cleaning during clean room hosedown operations. The HALD-48-2X150LED-V2-C-OXM operates on 120-277V AC.

Each sign on the HALD-48-2X150LED-V2-C-OXM is illuminated by 17,500 lumens of high-intensity LED light which ensures that operators in the vicinity of the light will easily be able to tell if one of the signs is currently lit. Each sign also features a separate control wire for independent on/off control of sign. In the default configuration, the HALD-48-2X150LED-V2-C-OXM glows green on the left side when the environment is safe or "OK" to be in and glows blue on the right side when low oxygen levels are detected.Custom colors and sign phrases are available upon request for additional applications.
The HALD-48-2X150LED-V2-C-OXM hazardous area LED signal light is sealed and rated for FS 209E and ISO 14644 cleanroom applications and is approved for use within clean rooms and other areas that require little or no contamination within the work environment. The flat surfaced design of the HALD-48-2X150LED-V2-C-OXM makes it ideal for hosedowns in clean room applications. There are no crevices or other areas to worry about during the hosedown and cleaning process. The polycarbonate lens is gasketed and the back of the fixture is also gasketed for wall mount sealing. Two 3/4" NPT hubs allow operators to bring conduit to the fixture.
This Class I Division 2 and Class II Divisions 1 & 2 explosion proof light fixture provides 35,000 of high quality light while drawing only 300 watts. The copper free aluminum alloy body is powder coated for added durability and an attractive aesthetic appearance. Special heat dissipating design in conjunction with LED technology helps this fixture to achieve an excellent 60,000 hour rated lifespan with 80% lumen retention. Light weight and a low profile make this unit an attractive alternative to larger and heavier older fixtures and requires less hardware to install.
The integrated LED assembly in this unit features multiple LED drivers which helps to increase the operational life of the fixture. With traditional LED lights, in the event an LED array or driver fails, the entire fixture no longer illuminates. This new series of LED lamps contains twenty-four individual LED boards configured in a series of banks. Each bank contains two LED boards with an individual driver. In the event of a driver failure, only one bank of LEDs will be effected while the other banks will continue to operate. In the event that of an LED failure, the mating LED will continue to operate.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Voltage/Power: This light is multi-voltage capable and can be operated with 100-277V AC, 50/60Hz without any need for a special ballast. The aluminum body and LED lamp give this light excellent durability and resistance to vibration and impacts. The housing is specially designed to dissipate heat which increases the efficiency and lifespan of the LED luminaries. The LED lamp produces 35,000 lumens with a color temperature of 5000K, 4000K, or 3000K and a color rendering index of 75 which produces colors and details much more accurately than high pressure sodium or mercury vapor luminaries..
Housing: The housing for the HALD-48-2X150LED-V2-C-OXM is constructed from strong and durable steel with a white powder coated finish. The flat lens is built from polycarbonate. The housing for this LED clean room signal light is approved for wet locations and is safe for hosedown operations.
Applications: ISO 14644 and FS-209E clean room applications that require little to no contamination including but not limited to medical applications, pharmaceutical, laboratories and any other applications that require ample lighting with little to no contamination within the work area atmosphere.
