The Larson Electronics HALD-48-4L-ITG-LED Low Profile Hazardous Location LED Light provides a thin fixture profile that allows maximum use of available space. Equipped with four, 4-foot LED lamps, this fixture provides 16,000 lumens of white light during operation. Protected by a 20-gauge steel frame, the LED light designed for paint spray booths and locations where flammable chemical/petrochemical vapors are present.

The HALD-48-4L-ITG-LED is a 4-foot long, 4-lamp LED light that is ideal for use in paint spray booths and hazardous locations where space for lighting fixtures is limited. This 160-watt fixture is T3C temperature rated, comes standard with high output LED bulbs and features an integrated momentary paint spray system cutoff switch that is activated when this fixture`s lamp door is opened. During use, the unit offers 16,000 lumens of output at a rate of 4,000 lumens per LED lamp.
This fixture is universal-voltage capable and is approved for use in paint spray booths. The HALD-48-4L-ITG-LED provides operators in hazardous locations with a reliable and durable, low profile lighting solution that provides added safety through the inclusion of an integral paint spray cutoff switch that shuts down paint spray systems when the fixture is opened.
The lamps are protected by a steel framed, hinged, 3/16" thick glass door that provides direct front access to the four lamps. The lamp housing is only 2 and 1/4 inches thick, designed for recessed mounting, constructed of 20-gauge steel and coated with a baked on white enamel finish.
We have eliminated the ballast box normally associated with explosion proof fluorescent fixtures which reduces overall weight and overall complexity of installation. These fluorescent LED lamps have internal drivers, eliminating external power components. The solid state design of the LED lamps give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibration, extremes in temperature and a lamp service life over twice that of standard fluorescent bulbs. This second generation lamp is offered in 5600K cool white, 4500K natural white, and 3000K warm white. Our standard unit ships with 5600K unless different color temperature is specified.
Unlike the glass tube design of traditional fluorescent lamps, these LED T-Style lamps have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. The LED assembly is mounted to the "tube" constructed from extruded aluminum, with a polycarbonate lens protecting the LEDs. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than fluorescent lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional fluorescent lighting.
NOTE: The integral momentary cutoff switch included with this fixture is activated when the lamp door is opened. This switch is not intended to directly control light operation and requires the addition of a separate solid state relay which is then used to control actual system operation. The cutoff switch acts only as an activator for an external relay and is rated for 10 watts at a maximum of 300V AC.
Overloading the switch through improper connection will result in switch failure. It is recommenced that a certified electrician make any installations and reviews of relay connections intended to take advantage of this light`s cutoff switch. The HALD-48-4L-ITG-LEDis universal voltage, not multi-tap, and operates on any voltage from 120V to 277V AC, 50/60hz without any modifications. We also make a 12/24V AC/DC version for low voltage applications for AC or DC power.
