The HID-5500 from Larson Electronics is an HID spotlight with a weatherproof nylon housing and precision metal reflector. This HID spotlight produces 3200 lumens and operates on 9-32V DC voltage. The HID-5500 features a borosilicate hardened glass lens and is available in both a spotlight and flood light configuration. As a spotlight, this HID light projects a beam up to 2300 feet long. In the floodlight configuration, the HID-5500 covers an area 250 feet wide by 250 feet long.
The HID-5500 is a versatile and durable solution for a wide variety of different lighting needs and applications. The spotlight has a 5.5" outside diameter, is 5.5" in depth and weighs only 1.4 pounds. The superior lighting power of this HID spotlight provides ample illumination to even the darkest of locations.
Light Information:
The HID-5500 features a 35 watt HID Xenon D2 type lamp that produces 3200 lumens of lighting power and has a color temperature of 7000K (bright white). The internal 35W HID ballast features instant on operation and takes only 3 seconds to come up to full power. Precision metal reflectors and a borosilicate hardened glass lens work to ensure the highest amount of light is projected forward for superior lighting power in any situation.

Voltage/Power:
The HID-5500 operates on voltages ranging from 9-32V DC. When operating on 12V DC, this HID spotlight has a start load of 4.8 amps and a 3.3 amp average draw over 60 seconds. When operating on 24V DC, the HID-5500 has a 2.4 amp draw on start and a 1.7 average amp draw over 60 seconds.
Durability:
The HID-5500 has a durable weatherproof nylon housing and a tough borosilicate hardened glass lens that helps it stand up to even rough and abusive conditions. This HID spotlight features an IP67 waterproof rating which means that it is both dust-tight and that no harmful amount of water may enter the housing when the spotlight is temporaily submerged to depths of up to one meter. This light also has a vibration resistance of 8.6 Grms and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
Mounting:
The HID-5500 features an adjustable bracket connected to the bottom of the spotlight and can be stud mounted.
