The Larson Electronics HLEXC-25M-12.3-3X16A-2P3W Explosion Proof Extension Cord allows operators to safely extend the range of their explosion proof light or equipment cords within the boundaries of the hazardous work area. This accessory features 25 meter of 12/3 SOOW explosion proof cord with an industrial grade cord cap. A total of three, 16-amp 600V rated explosion proof receptacles can be found on this unit.
The HLEXC-25M-12.3-3X16A-2P3W is suitable for extending power connections in flammable work sites and hazardous locations. This explosion proof unit, which offers 16 amps of continuous service, is equipped with three explosion proof outlets, rated at 600V. The receptacles are deeply recessed to prevent accidental contact and designed for twist lock plug insertion to provide secure connections. Constructed of polyamide with recessed brass pins, the explosion proof outlets come with a 16-amp rating. Voltage options for the explosion proof extension cord includes 250V, 480V or 600V.
Wiring and Plug:
This explosion proof extension cord is equipped with 25 meters of 12/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an industrial-grade 16-amp 2-pole, 3-wire cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. This component is constructed of polyamide with recessed brass pins.
The explosion proof plug on this unit is of a twist lock design. In order for a secure and working connection to take place, the operator must insert the plug and twist until it locks into place. This ensures a safe seal is made before any sparks from electrical contact can take place. To ensure the highest safety, operators should make connections outside of the hazardous area.
