This unit uses one T8 UVC lamp that provide 9.1 watts of total UV output during UV treatment. Designed for free-standing operation and permanent installation on walls, surfaces or ceilings, the UV air purifier operates on 120V AC and is protected by a stainless steel enclosure. ***PLEASE NOTE: UV-C light can cause temporary or permanent loss of vision, and temporary acute redness or ulceration (mild to severe sunburn) to exposed skin. Equipped with one 20-watt UVC fluorescent lamp, this system offers 9.1 watts of total UV output, within the 200nm - 280nm UV-C range (254 nm peak). The light has an expected lifespan of 8,000+ hours and emits a flood beam pattern inside the unit. The ventilator operates at a sound level of 32 dB. Constructed of stainless steel, the UV light is enclosed inside the unit preventing UV exposure in occupied areas. This unit measures 34" x 14" x 14" and does not contain indicator lights. Operation: The "dirty" air passes through the UV sanitation chamber where it is treated with UVC light using one fluorescent lamp. The disinfection process kills up to 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, mold, spores and other harmful microbes. Clean sanitized air exits the chamber and is released back into the environment. This low-maintenance air disinfection process is continuous and quiet. Wiring: This unit is equipped with a 5-foot power cord. Mounting: The IND-AHF-BX-UVC-R7-120V-5C can be deployed as a free-standing unit in occupied areas. This unit is also compatible with permanent installations on walls, surfaces or ceilings. We offer models with 2x2 and 2x4 troffer mount features for installations on ceilings with tiles or grids. Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation.
