| Made in the USA The Larson Electronics LM-24-8-5S-FM-16X1500W fixed mount 5-stage light mast provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy the sixteen 1500 watt metal halide light fixtures elevations of up to twenty-four feet. This light tower equipped with sixteen outdoor rated 1500 watt metal halide light fixtures producing a combined 2,400,000 lumens. The 1500 watt fixtures are wet location approved, vibration and shock resistant, and provide operators low maintenance and high output temporary lighting solution. This light tower collapses to 8` for easy transportation, features a rotating boom that allows for 360° of rotation, and a removable mast head for storing mounted equipment when not in use. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS OR LIGHT TOWERS* This telescoping five stage steel light mast from Larson Electronics’ is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy lighting, cameras, and other electrical equipment in locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 24` for effective coverage. This light boom can be extended to 50` for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 8` for applications where a smaller footprint is required. he tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base section 5.92` in length and 6" by 6" by 3/16" thick, lower section 6.04` in length and 5" by 5" by 3/16" thick, middle section 6.19` in length and 4" by 4" by 1/8" thick, upper section 6.34` in length and 3" by 3" by 1/8" thick, and an top section 6.5` in length and 2" by 2" by 1/8" thick. Each section has a minimum of 1` overlap. The mast is extended to its full height using an included 3,500 lbs hand winch with 3/16" galvanized cable. This stationary light tower is equipped with sixteen of our wet area suitable metal halide floodlight fixtures producing a combined total of approximately 2,400,000 lumens at 24,000 watts. Each fixture produces 150,000 lumens of high intensity light while drawing only 1500 watts at 6.25 amps for a combined 100 amp draw on a 240 volt electrical system. These industrial grade light fixtures are UL 1572 listed and approved for use wet locations. The lights are wired to four NEMA 3R junction boxes at the top of the tower, with a 48" by 96" NEMA 3R remote ballast enclosure at the base of the tower and four 10 foot of #10 Type-W cables extending from the base mast and terminated in an L6-30 (240V), L7-30 (277V), or L8-30 (480V) twist lock plugs for input power. A NEMA 3R control box houses the on/off switches for the sixteen metal halide lamps. Each lamp has an individual switch and can be powered on or off independently from the rest of the light fixtures. The lamp fixtures mounted atop this fold over light mast have 19†reflectors and are constructed of aluminum with a clear tempered glass lens which is secured into place with a heavy duty gasket and single ring lock. These floodlights produce a wide flood light pattern. Each floodlight is securely fastened to the light boom via an adjustable U-bracket that allows the operator to independently adjust each lamp both vertically and horizontally. Each fixture includes an internal support bracket to help maintain lamp stability within its housing. The lamps are connected to the power source via a water tight male pin connector that attaches to a receptacle located on the end of the telescoping boom.
The LM series of towers are powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics. These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces via a 18" by 18" by 1/4" thick mounting base-plate which has been drilled to accept six 9/16" anchor bolts. A 50" wide by 48" tall and 2" by 2" by 1/4" thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for light fixtures and equipment.
The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provides increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 8`, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360°. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely, and can typically be rotated with a single hand.Â
This light tower weighs approximately 550 lbs and can easily support and lift the sixteen metal halide light fixtures. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 16.5` long, 4` wide, 5` tall and weighs approximately 1400 lbs. Larson Electronics can custom tailor these units to the customer’s requirements with longer sections and larger mounting plates. We also offer a choice of either the manual hand winches included standard or optional electric winches.
