Made in Texas The Larson Electronics LM-30-8.75-5S-4X2000W-MOD1 Five-Stage Telescoping Light Mast provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy 18,000 watts of intense lighting to elevations up to thirty feet. Equipped with a triangular mast head and remote ballasts, the nine 2,000-watt metal halide lamps produce a wide spread of intense lighting, allowing this unit to effectively cover large work areas with high quality illumination. This fold-over light tower collapses down to 8.75 feet for easy transportation, features an articulating boom that allows for 360° of rotation, and a removable mast head for storing mounted equipment.  *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS OR LIGHT TOWERS* This telescoping five-stage steel light mast from Larson Electronics’ is designed to quickly and safely deploy 18,000 watts of intense metal halide lighting in locations where elevated illumination is needed for maximum area coverage. This light boom can be extended to 30` for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 8.75` for applications where a smaller footprint is required. For seamless storage, the light tower folds over, which minimizes space requirements when the unit is not in use. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base section 6.6` in length and 6" by 6" by 3/16" thick, lower section 6.78` in length and 5" by 5" by 3/16" thick, middle section 6.93` in length and 4" by 4" by 1/8" thick, upper section 7.08` in length and 3" by 3" by 1/8" thick, and top section 7.58` in length and 2" by 2" by 1/8" thick. Each section has a 1`+ overlap. The mast is extended to its full height using an included 3,000 lbs hand winch with 3/16" galvanized steel cable. When stored in a fold-over configuration, the light tower assembly measures 10.37` x 7.10` x 7.32`. The mast head features a triangle configuration, with three 2,000-watt metal halide lamps per side (total of three sides, equating to 18,000 watts). Each side provides 567,000 lumens of output, at a rate of 189,000 lumens per lamp. With the metal halide lamps, the mast head measures 87.91" x 76.13" x 76.13" (length measurements of each side of the triangle). Ballasts for the metal halide fixtures are located remotely at the base of the light tower, which measures 18" x 18". The ballasts are protected by a NEMA 3R enclosure.
Included with this light tower are nine of our wet area suitable metal halide fixtures producing a combined total of approximately 1,701,000 lumens at 18,000 watts. These lamps have 19” reflectors and are constructed of aluminum with a clear tempered glass lens which is secured into place with a heavy duty gasket and single ring lock. These floodlights produce a wide flood light pattern capable of illuminating approximately 15 acres. Each floodlight is securely fastened to the light boom and each lamp includes a support bracket to help maintain lamp stability within its housing. The lamps are connected to the power source via a water tight male pin connector that attaches to a receptacle located on the end of the telescoping boom. The LM series of telescoping towers are powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics. These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces via a 18" by 18" by 1/4" thick mounting base-plate which has been drilled to accept six 9/16" anchor bolts. A triangular mast head is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for the nine equipped 2,000-watt metal halide light fixtures.
The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provides increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 8.75`, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360°. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely, and can typically be rotated with a single hand.  This light tower weighs approximately 400 lbs and can easily support and lift 150 lbs fixtures. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 9.5` long, 4` wide, 5` tall and weighs approximately 550 lbs. Larson Electronics can custom tailor these units to the customer’s requirements with longer sections and larger mounting plates. We also offer a choice of either the manual 3,000 lbs hand winches included standard or optional electric winches. Suggested Applications: Temporary lighting, construction sites, and security camera deployment.
