| The Larson Electronics MMT-IDR-240.480V-20A-24V Single Output Industrial Power Supply is designed to convert input voltages ranging between 180-264V AC and 254-370V DC to 24V DC at 20 amps. This device can be installed on DIN Rail TS-35/7.5 or 15 and supports the following protection mechanisms: overload, short circuit, over voltage and over temperature. The 960-watt unit is suitable for use in marine-related installations, electro-mechanical applications, semi-conductor fabrication equipment and factory automation. Features: This single output power supply supports a wide input range of 180-264V AC; 254-370V DC. It may be used to safely convert power to low voltage 24V DC for compatibility with equipment that requires 24V DC current. The device can be applied to operate equipment up to 960 watts. The converter features a voltage adjustment range of 24-28V with a voltage tolerance of +/- 1 percent. It also supports a working temperature range of -30 - +70°C and a working humidity range of 20-95 percent (non-condensing). The MMT-IDR-240.480V-20A-24V comes with overload, over circuit, over temperature and short circuit protection. In the event of over temperature (90°C ±5°C), the unit will shut down the operating voltage and recover automatically after temperature normalization. Should over voltage occur (29-33V), the unit will also shut down the operating voltage and automatically recover after one minute (when the fault condition is removed). This device features an input efficiency rate of 94 percent and low power dissipation. It supports cooling by free air convection and a built-in DC OK relay contact. NOTE: In order to obtain the best performance and the longest operational life from these units, it is recommended that you do not exceed 75% of the unit’s output amperage. To determine if this converter suits your desired application, add together the total wattage of the equipment you intend to use with this unit and divide this total by 12 volts to find the total amperage draw that will be placed upon the converter. For example, if you are using two of our LEDP10W-120E 120 watt LED lights, 120 watts divided by 12 volts is 10 amps. This would mean the DCP-16-DP is well suited as it would run at under 75% capacity to produce the necessary 10 amps. Running these units at 100% of their capacity can create excess heat and lead to shortened converter life. |
