The SCS-SPK-1X300PNL-SCS-90AL-120V-N3R-M2 Remote Mount Solar Charge Control Kit from Larson Electronics is designed for sustainable energy applications in outdoor locations. The system features a 300-watt solar panel, 90aH lithium-ion battery pack, one MPPT controller, solar inverter, wiring kit and panel mounting kit. A floor-mount compatible NEMA 3R heavy-duty enclosure protects the batteries and charge controller from outdoor elements.
The SCS-SPK-1X300PNL-SCS-90AL-120V-N3R-M2 is a solar-powered system that is designed to power the following lights at 21,334 watts of daily consumption: (7) 2.2-watt bug eye lights @ 12hrs of emergency operation and charging 24/7 and (2) 3.3-watt bug eye lights with exit sign @ 12hrs of emergency operation and charging 24/7. This system includes one 300-watt solar panel, one surface mounting kit for the solar panel, three 40aH lithium-ion batteries, one 6.5-amp charge controller, NEMA 3R enclosure, 50-foot remote wiring kit and a 100VA solar inverter that provides 120V output.
Solar Panels:
One, 300-watt solar panel is included with the system. The 300-watt, mono crystalline solar panel has a 60-cell orientation and carries a 15A maximum fuse rating. The unit measures 64.9"L x 39.1"W x 1.38"H. Constructed of anodized aluminum (black), these solar panels are NRTL certified to UL 1703 and UL module fire performance: Type 2.
Connections for grounding are available at each corner of the unit. Suitable for rugged conditions, the panels can withstand 25mm hail stones traveling at 51 mph.
The solar panel's proven junction box technology has 12 AWG PV wiring and works with transformerless inverters. Locking plug-in connectors offer operators safe and quick connections. One surface mount L-bracket kit is included, which can be used to mount the solar panel to the roof or flat surfaces.
Battery Bank/Charge Controller:
This system is equipped with three 40aH lithium-ion batteries, for a 90aH battery pack with 100% usable. Inside the enclosure, operators are provided access to one MPPT charge controller. Capable of operating at 99% peak efficiency, the component features a maximum battery current of 6.5 amps. The 4-stage charge controller can handle bulk, absorption, float and equalize charging stages. Protective features include the following: Overload, Short Circuit, High Voltage, High Temperature, Lightning/Transient Surges, Reverse Current @ Night.
