' Product Overview '
Made in the USA The Larson Electronics VPLSL-10-TXF Vapor Proof Incandescent String Light with Inline Transformer is constructed and certified to prevent water and/or moisture from entering the handle and/or head when used as instructed in wet locations. The unit contains a total of ten, 26 watt, 60 watt, 75 watt or 100 watt work lights depending on the configuration. This string light set is suitable for wet areas and sealed against internal contamination. When ordering the product, please choose the wattage of the lamps, cord cap and output voltage (12V DC or 24V DC). The VPLSL-10-TXF vapor proof string light consists of 10 industrial grade vapor proof hand lamps with 10 feet of 12/3 SOOW cable between each unit. This vapor proof incandescent string light is connected to power via an integrated 100 foot cable terminated with a standard 5-15 straight blade plug. Each vapor proof (water tight) trouble light is equipped with a high output incandescent bulb. The VPLSL-10-TXF features an inline transformer that steps the voltage of the unit from 120-240V AC down to 12V or 24V DC. A 25 foot tail section of main SOOW cord is included to allow ample length for connection to the inline stepdown transformer. The transformer is encapsulated in a NEMA 3R enclosure, is equipped with a 10 foot line in cable, and equipped with an industrial grade plug.
These vapor proof lights are water tight and suitable for use in wet locations. Each light has a stainless steel mesh guard enclosure that provides protection for the glass dome and a stainless hook that allows operators to hang these tasks lights overhead. In order to meet OSHA regulations, this vapor proof incandescent string light must be plugged into a GFI protected outlet. Each vapor proof incandescent string light is equipped with an outlet, enabling the operator to connect several strings together. There are limits to how many strings can be interconnected based on the overall amp draw, power source, etc. Each incandescent trouble light has an effective range that approximately covers a 5 to 8 foot radius with 10-15 foot candles of light.

Wiring: This unit is equipped with 25` 12/3 SOOW cord leading to an inline step down transformer. Ten feet of 16/3 SOOW cord coming out of the inline transformer, and is terminated in an industrial grade cord cap. This inline power supply for this string light is an auto sensing universal voltage transformer that operates on any voltage within the 100-277 volts AC 50/60Hz range. This unit allows operators to power the string light from any 120-277V AC power source, and steps down AC voltage to 24V DC. Plug options include standard 5-15 straight blade plug for 110V wall outlets with ground, NEMA L5-15 twist lock plug for 125V twist lock outlets, NEMA L6-15 twist lock plug for 240V twist lock outlets, BS1363 3-blade plug for United Kingdom outlets, and a two pin Schuko plug for European outlets. This unit is multi-voltage and configured to operate on 120-277V AC stepped down to 12V or 24V DC, please choose your configuration below. These incandescent lamps are suitable for wet areas, extremely long lived, resistant to damage from impacts and vibrations, and consume far less energy than standard lamps.
