With an impact and shock resistant no-glass, polycarbonate T8 LED bulb, sealed polycarbonate end caps, and corrosion resistant aluminum hardware, this IP66 rated waterproof linear light is unrivaled in providing reliable, stable lighting under even the harshest of conditions. The WDL-96-1L-LED linear light is consists of two LEDT8-28W-V1 28 watt T8 tube style LED bulb that each draw 0.23 amps at 120 volts AC (for a totala of 0.46 amps at 120 volts AC), polycarbonate end caps, and aluminum L brackets for mounting. Because the T8 tubes are self-contained lighting fixtures in themselves and require no additional housing, this unit is ultra compact and low profile. Instead of using a fragile glass bulb as with traditional fluorescent lighting, the housing on this LED fixture is made of impact and shock resistant polycarbonate, making it a much safer and more durable option than fluorescent bulbs. The WDL-96-1L-LED Linear LED Light is the ideal replacement for outdated traditional fluorescent fixtures. While fluorescents require additional space for a ballast, contain fragile glass bulbs, and are notorious for annoying flickering and slow start up times, LED T8 tubes require no ballast, take up less space, provide instant full power illumination, and project a stable, no-flicker beam from a durable solid state lighting source. The T8 LED tube is lightly frosted and contains a built-in reflector to provide a wide, glare-free area of bright illumination. The WDL-96-1L-LED is built to withstand the challenges and rigors of wet environments and harsh conditions, including extreme temperature changes. With a tough, shatter resistant T8 LED tube sealed with polycarbonate end caps and equipped with corrosion resistant, non-sparking aluminum and nonmetal hardware, this compact and rugged IP66 rated light can withstand high pressure jets in washdown areas such as those found in food preparation and sanitation operations. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. Mounting: This light is equipped with two heavy duty aluminum L brackets, each predrilled with a single hole, that allow for easy ceiling, wall, and surface mounting. Each bracket has a center screw that allows the operator to adjust the fixture position by simply loosening the screw, manually moving the lamp to the desired position, and retightening the screw. Alternative mounting options include chain hanging or safety cable hanging as well as wiring multiple units together end to end via conduit. Power/Wiring: Wiring for this unit is brought in through the 3/4" or 1/2" hubs on either end. Multiple units can be wired together by bringing conduit to each fixture. The internal driver in the WDL-96-1L-LED provide the ability to automatically monitor and adjust input current to maintain the correct LED voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. As a result, this light can operate on current ranging from 110 to 277 V AC for high voltage models or 11 to 25V AC/DC for low voltage models with no modification necessary. This ability to sense and adjust input current also provides protection against voltage spikes and drops that can occur in electrical systems which would otherwise result in premature LED failure.
